How to fold an origami necktie

A long kite becomes the blade. The top folds down and back up into a knot, and the corners tuck behind.

You need: 1 square sheet, any size. Medium, 6 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. Crease the diagonal. Fold the left corner to the right corner, crease, and unfold.
  2. Make a kite. Fold the two lower edges in to lie along the centre crease.
  3. Turn it over. Flip the kite over.
  4. Top point down. Fold the top point down along the widest part of the kite.
  5. Fold the knot. Fold the point back up so its tip touches the top edge.
  6. Shape the knot. Fold the two top corners behind, narrowing the top of the tie.

Dapper!

Glue it on a card, or make a matching one for every shirt.
