How to fold an origami elephant face
A triangle with its sides folded behind to slim the trunk, then the corners swung back out as big ears. Two folds pleat the bottom point into a trunk.
You need: 1 square sheet, grey on one side. Easy, 5 steps, about 3 minutes.
Steps
- Make a triangle. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner.
- Slim the trunk. Fold the sides of the triangle behind, from the top edge down to just beside the bottom point.
- Ears out. Fold the corners poking up behind the head down behind, so they hang out at the sides as ears.
- Trunk up. Fold the tip of the trunk up.
- Trunk down. Fold it back down a little higher, leaving a step in the trunk.
Toot!
Draw two eyes above the trunk.
